The Winged Angels of Eden got welcomed to USA League III.7 by the Liberty Bells. The second place Bells dominated the game from start to finish. The Winged Angels were lucky enough to get to double digits in a 10-40 loss. The Angels were out shot 25-49 in front of the sold-out crowd of 400 at The Golden Court of Eden.

At 8:11 in the first half Buddy Story scored the franchise's first goal. It was Story's only goal of the game as the bench went 1/8 shooting. Back Leonard Waite had the best game for the Winged Angels by going for 4/7. Eighteen-year-old goaltender Norman Summers had a very rough night. He went 9/49 in a night that he surely would like to forget.

The good news for the Winged Angels is that they inherited a 4-1-12 record from the now deceased Auburn Tigers franchise. The 9 inherited points should be valuable in their efforts to make the league playoffs. The newly formed franchise hopes to grow quickly. The franchise still needs to hire a coaching staff and hopes to hire a staff quickly. Interim Co-Coaches Maurice McTaggart (the team's custodian) and William Cook (the team's physician) looked overwhelmed in their first match as fill-in coaches. They both are looking forward to focusing on their true occupations as soon as coaching staff is hired.

With improvements promised by the ownership, hopefully the Winged Angels will get off the ground soon.
