Since the last release we've got a few more here in the press van.

(Sounds of beer cans being opened and general chatter)

I'm going to cut to the chase here. We've managed to get Stanislav Bakos, the chief coach at the Boom and Gabi Draghicescu of course you all know him. The defensive giant Pivot and captain of the defensive side of things. - I'll start with you Stanislav, first off again - thanks for joining us. You'll be able to review the tape before we publish.. Is that ok for you both?

-' Yes, that's fine'.

So, last week to this week. It would seem that a week in UK Handball is a long one ! Especially for you guys. The fans are up one moment and kicking the Billboards over the next. What's your side to this?

(In a steady Slovakian accent)

_' I'm going to take this opportunity on behalf of the club and the management and yes they do know we are here. To apologise to all involved in these matters. The boss as you know works us all very hard and he expects the best from us. Last week, we managed to pull off a massive result and in the heat of the moment he released some kind of warning to the league. - Highly competitive, yes, sometimes rash, yes, but he's a good boss to work for and the Boom with all their challenges are still a very progressive team. We are something of a loose cannon, I guess that's what you'd say ...but that's how we roll here. I've been specifically asked not to train the guys to set formula's. It's the 'X' factor as you would say here in the Uk that we look to. And sometimes it's bites us back in reverse as you've seen here recently. - I'm sure though that we will be fighting hard in the playoffs as ever. We've come so close, well keep at it'.

-Hmmm interesting.. Sounds to me like you've given the league run up?

'Not exactly. But it's hard.. Consistency as you guys have said is the Boom's downfall. And we'll admit that both Lincoln and Fodder have that consistency model in place. Like we say we are working on it.

- Ok thanks, next week in fact you will play one of them in the NC Semi's how do you see that going?

Obviously, I'm not going to give anything away here. - We will have a go and cross our fingers. One thing I will say is that I'm sure Millen will be in goal !!

-Yes, it was a bad performance from Nick tonight.. any rumours?

(Gabi Draghicescu intervenes)

'Leave Nick out if it, it happen's to players.

-Thanks for joining us there Gabi.. If I may ask you how do the players feel about all of this week?

(Deep Romanian Voice)

- 'We fight every game. We leave it out there every night. This current squad is strong and we will fight on. We have the players to make a run at it. Last year was not so good, we played like our arses were on fire in the CL, we burnt out. Huber went straight after. The plan at that point was to bring through Yurily and he's doing well. We will get there, the team is strong.'

Ok, back to you Stanislav if I may. Yes, last season.. the Boom's worst yet and this season started so well. If you could say anything to the fans what would it be?

(Pause)

Have faith, we will get there. The boss and the staff and the players are doing all they can to push on.

And to the rest of the league?

- Expect us to play as hard as ever, expect those OMG moments one way or the other. It's the way we play. And we didn't mean to offend last week, it's the competitive spirit here at the club. you know.. Sometimes the written word can be misconstrued and we wanted to clear this up. After all it's a niche sport over here and we value the league and it's members.
